Individual psychotherapy is available for children, adolescents, and young adults from 8 - 24 years old. At Pathways Psychology our goal is to work collaboratively with clients to meet their objectives and needs. The priority in psychotherapy is to help foster a supportive and collaborative environment in which clients feel safe and trusting. Dr. Lori works from a variety of approaches including but not limited to, trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Therapy will often be adapted based on client needs, so they can improve their overall well-being.

Individual therapy involves 50-minute sessions. The process generally goes as follows:

1) A Short Phone Consultation: Initially there will be a brief phone consultation to assess you or your child's needs and determine if individual psychotherapy would meet your goals.

2) Assessment Stage: After the phone consultation an initial assessment session will be scheduled. This session further assesses if you or your child's therapeutic needs can be met with our approach and to ensure the child is comfortable working with Dr. Lori.

3) Ongoing Therapy: In these sessions Dr. Lori will work with you and your child in order to better understand their difficulties and provide them with the support and tools towards emotional well-being and resilience.
